Diffusion-thermo effects on MHD free convective radiative and chemically reactive boundary layer flow through a porous medium over a vertical plate
Authors
Abstract:
The main purpose of this work is to investigate the porous medium and diffusion-thermo effects on unsteady combined convection magneto hydrodynamics boundary layer flow of viscous electrically conducting fluid over a vertical permeable surface embedded in a high porous medium, in the presence of first order chemical reaction and thermal radiation. The slip boundary condition is applied at the porous interface. A uniform Magnetic field is applied normal to the direction of the fluid flow. The non-linear coupled partial differential equation are solved by perturbation method and obtained the expressions for concentration, temperature and velocity fields. The rate of mass transfer in terms of Sherwood number , the rate of heat transfer in terms of Nusselt number and the Skin friction coefficient are also derived. The Profiles of fluid flow quantities for various values of physical parameters are presented and analyzed. Profiles of fluid flow quantities for various values of physical parameters are presented and analyzed.

Unsteady MHD Radiative and Chemically Reactive Free Convection Flow near a Moving Vertical Plate in Porous Medium
We have investigated an unsteady flow of a viscous, incompressible electrically conducting, laminar free convection boundary layer flow of a moving infinite vertical plate in a radiative and chemically reactive medium in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. The equations governing the flow are solved by Laplace transform technique. The expressions for velocity, temperature, concentratio...

An analytical study is performed to investigate the effects of chemical reaction and radiation on unsteady MHD flow past an exponentially accelerated vertical plate with variable temperature and variable mass diffusion in the presence of applied transverse magnetic field. It is assumed that the effect of viscous dissipation is negligible in the energy equation and there is a first order chemica...
full textRadiation effects on MHD free convective boundary layer flow of nanofluids over a nonlinear stretching sheet
The present study focuses on the numerical solution of a steady free convective boundary-layer flow of a radiating nanofluid along a non-linear stretching sheet in the presence of transverse magnetic field. The model used for the nanofluid incorporates the effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis. The governing boundary-layer equations of the problem are formulated and transformed into a n...

Steady two dimensional MHD laminar free convective boundary layer flows of an electrically conducting Newtonian nanofluid over a solid stationary vertical plate in a quiescent fluid taking into account the Newtonian heating boundary condition is investigated numerically. In the present paper, an analysis was carried out to investigate effects of radiation on a free convection flow bounded by a vertical surface embedded in a porous medium with constant suction velocity. It was under the influence of uniform magnetic field in the presence of a homogenous chemical reaction and viscous dissipation with constant heat and mass flux. The non-dimensional governing equa...

An analysis has been conceded to study the effects of Soret and thermal radiation effects on the magnetohydrodynamic convective flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid with heat and mass transfer over a plate with time-dependent suction velocity in a slip flow regime in the presence of first-order chemical reaction. The slip conditions at the boundaries for the governin...
